Intro

Audiosense has been on the Chi-Fi market for almost 3 years, but I hadn't heard anything from the company until I came across their products at AliExpress. In their product line they have a single BA, dual BA and triple BA driver to choose from. The T800 is the flagship with its 8 BA drivers per side. Here it revolves around the T180 which gets by with a full-range BA. Amazing is the low price. I would have expected the T180 to be a bit more expensive with a real Knowles BA.

Handling

The T180 is similar in design to the Shure SE215, or the Westone-In-Ears. This means that we get an extremely comfortable seat, also favoured by the narrow but long sound tubes. In addition, the T180 is a flyweight, so apart from its compact design, it's easy to forget it in your ear.

The optimal fit provides a very good seal and thus insulation. The supplied cable is really good and easy to handle. In addition, there is a selection of foam and silicone tips and a carrying bag.

Sound

Directly at the first sounds one wonders about the presence of the bass, which would not have been expected from a single BA. Of course he doesn't develop the pressure to make bassheads happy, but he plays very clean and high-resolution. In addition he gives the whole signature a pleasant warmth, so that it doesn't look sterile. It plays surprisingly low and doesn't seem too thin. It takes some getting used to the sound in general, but with time the presence of the bass increases more and more and you don't have the feeling that something is missing. If you like dry, fast BA-Bas you are in the right place.

The T180 sounds very balanced and neutral. This is especially noticeable in the mids, which are very smooth and on the point. They are neither blunt, nor too flat, but bring along a future musicality despite single BA drivers. That makes them neither sterile nor boring. The voice reproduction is sometimes a bit reserved, but vocals neither sound discoloured nor unnatural. But they could be a bit more lively for my taste. In general, the T180 is more mid-centered, which is not everyone's taste. In addition it can come with hectic music somewhat to compressions.

The highs are wonderfully relaxed and have a very convincing extension. Nearly every detail can be detected in the room and that without having to be emphasized separately. They sound natural and do not have the habit of drifting into the metallic. There are also in-ears with which you can hear even more analytically in the high frequency range, but often at the expense of unpleasant peaks. Here the T180 is a compromise between transparency and detail reproduction, which I feel very successful even if you won't hear a snail crawling over the floor.

The T180 can also add a little more to the three-dimensionality. In stereo, however, it doesn't blush, but belongs to the more intimate representatives.

Outro

My favorite in-ears are actually more dynamic ones, or hybrids. But I also liked the CCA C16, which has 8 BAs per side. The T180 proves that it doesn't always need so many drivers per side to still offer high sound quality. Certainly not a high-end product, but a perfect introduction to the world of BA drivers, with really good, natural mids and a relaxed, warm signature.

Legend

Haptic:

Here the processing plays a role and the usability of the scope of supply. Additionally the appearance, wearing comfort and robustness.

Value:
Here I evaluate for me subjectively the price/performance ratio - does not flow into the evaluation!

Z: No Brainer

A: money well spent

B: all right, you can do

C: gives better for less money

D: overpriced

E: collector's price

Daily life:
Here, I focus on the long-term audibility and whether I can hear it well out of the box. This is of course very subjective and therefore only a minimal deduction or bonus.
