Intro

It took some time, but REVONEXT has now taken a heart and reworked the QT3s once again, as the trebles of the QT3 were sometimes difficult to bear. Apart from that, the QT3 was a very good in-ear. It remains to be seen whether the fine tuning was worth it.

Handling

There are no differences to the QT3 in handling, same design, same housing, same comfort, same isolation. That all in all gets the grade "very good".
The cable has changed, is now available in the respective housing colour and has become more comfortable due to the adapted earhooks. In contrast to the QT3, the QT3s is also available in red.

Sound

REVONEXT did not make any false promises, but really worked on the trebles. These are now similar to those of the QT2, or almost identical. I would call them a little rounder and a bit less metallic. In addition, they are very clear and detail-loving. However, despite the exaggeration, they had more brilliance at the QT3s.

The mids come forward a bit better, as they sound more natural now. In addition, they are warmer than the QT3, which is more related to the bass, but also to the fact that the second BA driver gets more room. The voices lie well in the room and are neither distant nor too frontal and intimate. Also instrumental things happen on many levels, i.e. the separation is above average.

The bass isn't quite as "fat" and dry as the QT2(s), which doesn't make it any worse. It is controlled, textured and fills every genre appropriately. In addition it leaves the mids as far as possible in peace and only gives them some warmth.

You could say that the QT3s landed exactly where it should have landed at the first attempt. They are an independent product and also differ from their little brother. Here the A/B comparison makes sense: The QT3s sounds a bit rounder and more relaxed than the QT2(s). I'd call them more natural, but they've been a little robbed of their brilliance, so they don't sound as exciting anymore. They are also a bit quieter.

Outro

Between the QT3s and the QT2(s) I can't see a clear winner. Here it depends on personal preferences. The QT2 is a bit more brisk and goes more forward, also in the bass range. The QT3s, on the other hand, is smoother and more neutral, but also more realistic without the big fun factor, even though the bass is still very potent. I can confidently recommend both. Just one more thing. No matter which REVONEXT product you choose. You shouldn't be too sensitive to high frequencies and you shouldn't use them with the brightest source you have. Everyone has had enough of that!

Legend

Haptic:

Here the processing plays a role and the usability of the scope of supply. Additionally the appearance, wearing comfort and robustness.

Value:
Here I evaluate for me subjectively the price/performance ratio - does not flow into the evaluation!

Z: No Brainer

A: money well spent

B: all right, you can do

C: gives better for less money

D: overpriced

E: collector's price

Daily life:
Here, I focus on the long-term audibility and whether I can hear it well out of the box. This is of course very subjective and therefore only a minimal deduction or bonus.
