Intro

The RX6 is a further upstart of the new REVONEXT family and is largely aimed at athletes. It has a 2-driver configuration (1*DD & 1*BA), which corresponds to the RX8.
It is also the first REVONEXT in-ear that is not worn over the ear, but with hanging cables.

Handling

A new design finds its way into REVONEXT. The RX6 has a classic in-ear design, with integrated silicone hooks to provide a secure grip when running or other sporting activities. However, these are also removable. In addition, their dimensions make them look almost like Bluetooth in-ears, which they are not. However, this can be upgraded with a Bluetooth cable, which is offered by different manufacturers and should also fit through the 2-pin connector.

They are extremely loud and isolate very well from the outside world, which is also desirable for sports. In addition, they make a very robust impression, on the one hand by the metal used, but also by the workmanship.

Sound

The RX6 has a clear V-signature with raised bass, as well as treble. This is not uncommon for Sport-In-Ears, because they usually use pushing music, where the In-Ear should not lack bass or fun.

The RX6 can do this without compromising, because the bass is hitting very well, as is actually the case with all REVONEXT products. But here it feels a bit more pushed. However, it doesn't overshadow the mid-range or treble too much, but leaves them enough room to enjoy other genres as well. It's not quite as controlled as the RX8, QT2, or QT3s, but still does a good job and will certainly make some bassheads happy. Those who like to push themselves through beats during sports won't be disappointed here.

The mids are taken back, but not as much as you would expect with this potent bass. They are crisp and can also score with details and separation. In addition, the voices come well forward. The bass likes to go in, which makes the whole sound quite warm, but it leaves enough room for them to exist and fill the music with life.

The trebles captivate literally. In rare cases they can get piercing, they are also quite bright and represent the contrapart to the bass. They provide a slightly metallic sound in the high frequency range. However, this is mostly noticeable with acoustic guitar music for example. They could have taken an example from the new QT3s, but they are also far away from the old QT3. They sparkle, but that's also pretty bright! But everything that goes forward musically is in good hands with the RX6. Only metal, orchestral music, or a lot of acoustics should be avoided if you have a problem with trebles.

The stage is in the good average and the locating works very well. REVONEXT didn't want to tell me which dynamic drivers and BA drivers they use in their products, but I'm of the opinion that with the right tuning there's still a lot to get out of these things.

Outro

Anyone who does a lot of sport and is looking for in-ears that provide a secure hold and, apart from the bass, also satisfy the musical demands and who is not particularly afraid of high frequencies, will do absolutely nothing wrong with the RX6. Due to the detachable cables and the good workmanship, you should enjoy them for a long time.

Legend

Haptic:

Here the processing plays a role and the usability of the scope of supply. Additionally the appearance, wearing comfort and robustness.

Value:
Here I evaluate for me subjectively the price/performance ratio - does not flow into the evaluation!

Z: No Brainer

A: money well spent

B: all right, you can do

C: gives better for less money

D: overpriced

E: collector's price

Daily life:
Here, I focus on the long-term audibility and whether I can hear it well out of the box. This is of course very subjective and therefore only a minimal deduction or bonus.
